How German business reacts to the escalation of the political conflict with Ukraine

Under such conditions, how does Western business react to the aggravation of relations between the West and Russia?And can business structures help stop the escalation of the international situation under the current conditions?Holger Thorsten Schubart, CEO of Neutrino Deutschland GmbH and President of the international holding NEUTRINO Energy Group agreed to discuss this topic.
Mr Schubart. In the context of hysterical statements about the beginning of a war between Russia and Ukraine, constant threats of the introduction of "draconian" sanctions against Russia, and even the seizure of assets of Russian business, can we talk about any investment activity of foreign business in Russia?
Schubart. I treat it like a dirty foam that will certainly settle. I have a firm conviction that all this hype was created to solve some domestic political problems in Western countries. Look, the German Government and Chancellor Scholz are trying to distance themselves from the warming up of the situation related to Ukraine. It is very important for Germany to establish and maintain business and sustainable ties with Russian business, to build joint business projects. The desire of a number of countries to undermine the relationship between Russia and Germany in business, I consider actions that are detrimental not only to Russia, but to no lesser extent to Germany. It seems to me that if politicians were silenced for at least a week, the situation would neutralize itself.
Your company has announced the creation of a joint venture in Russia called Progressus Neutrino. Will you adjust your investment plans in Russia in connection with the international situation around Ukraine?
Schubart. Money loves silence, and investment policy is very sensitive to tensions in international relations. But we are confident in the stability of the investment climate in Russia. In addition, it is absolutely incomprehensible to us why Russia needs territories that are hostile to Russia, and which subsequently will need to be financially supported. Therefore, we are confident that there will be no Russian aggression against Ukraine, no matter how much some exalted politicians would like to see this.
Or can business somehow smooth out the intensity of contradictions between countries?
Schubart. Directly - no, but if business can solve problems that may be the causes of international conflicts, then there may be fewer contradictions, although I may be looking at this topic too philosophically, but I am convinced that crises are created artificially and used by the military industrial complex for financial gain, so international controversy will arise for any contrived reason. Money is power, and no one will voluntarily give up power.
Your company has developed a new power generation technology that will complement existing solar and wind power generation. Perhaps it will reduce the conflict situation in the energy market?
Schubart. The technical advances in neutrinovoltaics and the latest discoveries in neutrino physics really present the world with a unique chance to avoid many of the geopolitical conflicts that arise due to the struggle for energy resources, due to a more equitable distribution of energy without dependence on fossil fuels.
In addition, it is politicians who should try to understand the world as a whole, as well as respect the interests and ambitions of each other, because not everything that is good and right for us should automatically be right and positive for others.Unfortunately, apart from appealing to politicians, I personally have little opportunity, I hope that reasonableness and insight will enlighten the minds of those responsible for today's situation.
The development of Neutrinovoltaic energy sources and their industrial production planned at the end of 2022 - in 2023 solves not only the environmental problems of energy and makes centralized power supply unnecessary, but this also means the rejection of fossil fuels, which largely determines the conflict in the world.
